Terms of Entry for Entrants: The undersigned releases and agrees to hold harmless Waco Cultural Arts Fest dba Cultural Arts of Waco, the City of Waco, Festival Officers, Sponsors and volunteers from any and all responsibility, personal liability (injury or death), loss, damage or legal action that may arise or occur to my person, goods, property, or the public from any condition whatsoever during the preparation, setup, take-down and duration of the Waco Cultural Arts Fest from October 2, 2020 (setup), with the show running October 2-4, 2020 and any assistant under this person during this event. Moreover, the undersigned agrees to comply with the rules, policies and guidelines of Waco Cultural Arts Fest as outlined in this artist application and in future correspondence and understands that failure to follow these regulations may result in expulsion from this and future festivals. Waco Cultural Arts Fest, the City of Waco, and Festival Officers reserve the right to make final interpretation of the rules. Waco Cultural Arts Fest has my permission to reproduce submitted artwork for marketing purposes. All fees are non-refundable if accepted. By entering the artist(s) and assistants accept the risk and liability agreement.
Total: $150 / $25 non-refundable jury fee, $125 booth fee (does not include a tent)
Booth sharing is allowed for a max of two artists per booth. Please designate one person to pay the main booth fee. All artists must pay the $25 jury fee even if sharing a booth. Acceptable Categories: ceramics, glass, jewelry, metalwork, wood, sculpture, fiber art, digital art, photography, graphics, printmaking, drawing & pastels, acrylics & oils, watercolors, 2-D or 3-D mixed media.
All artists’ booths are awarded by invitation or acceptance by jury to ensure the highest quality artwork. There is a non-refundable jury fee of $25. All work in a given medium will be judged together. Jurors are looking for work that is well conceived, sale-able, well executed, imaginative and unique. A wait-list is selected by the jury committee in case of cancellations. Selected artists will receive jury notification via email by July 31, 2020. Artist packets will be mailed to selected artists by August 15, 2020.
IMAGES OF YOUR WORK
If you have not been previously accepted in the Waco Cultural Arts Fest artist market, we prefer a minimum of four total digital images. Three images must be of your artwork and one image of your artwork displayed in your booth. If you have been accepted into our previous artist market, we only need the three images of your current artwork. Images must be uploaded through our Entrythingy online form.
Use highest quality digital photography or have a professional photographer take images of your artwork in digital format. USE A PLAIN BACKGROUND, AVOID TEXTURED OR PATTERNED BACKGROUNDS and DO NOT USE ARTIST WATERMARKS. Do not show the frame for any art work. We need to see your work clearly for print and website applications. Work that differs significantly from the submitted images or does not meet the festival’s criteria will be removed from the festival.

Booth Fee: $125 – 10′ x 10′ outdoor space, payable by credit card, via MobileCause.
Two independent artists may share a booth subject to jury committee approval. Jury fee applies to each artist, please see jury information section above. Submit one entry form per exhibitor. Please designate one person responsible for the fees. All tent structures must be white. Artists must abide by safety measures to insure the booth tent is adequately secure in case of bad weather or strong winds. Bring weights to secure tent, no stakes/ropes allowed. Through the generous support of the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department, artists have access availability to 110v only at no additional charge. 2-D & 3-D MEDIA
PHOTOGRAPHY / PRINTS
2-D work must be original and signed by the artist. The artist must own all the copyrights to all designs and images offered for sale. Prints exhibited by artists in the graphics/printmaking category must be limited editions (750) and properly signed and numbered. Reproductions of 2-D work must be clearly labeled “Reproduction.” Waco Cultural Arts Fest reserves the right to ask that work infringing the copyright of others be removed from the booth.
CERAMICS / SCULPTURES
3-D works must be handmade by the artist. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, each must be signed. Waco Cultural Arts Fest reserves the right to ask that work infringing the copyright of others be removed from the booth.
FESTIVAL ELIGIBILITY & RULES
Waco Cultural Arts Fest is open to all artists. Work can be in any fine art or fine craft medium and must be original. Artists must define “a limited edition” through their Artist Statement and must disclose their process to the buyer. Artists must be present during the entire event. Non-profit or Special Art Groups representatives must be present during the entire event.
No commission on sales will be charged. We encourage a 10% donation to the Waco Cultural Arts Fest Pink Endowment, which supports free arts activities at the festival.
Artists must comply with all staff and uniformed security regarding site safety regulations. Security will be present on the grounds; however, vendors are responsible for the security of their booths and contents. We suggest you remove art, products, etc. from your booth each evening if they are not adequately protected i.e. walls on artist tent securely closed. Waco Cultural Arts Fest and organizers are not responsible for stolen or damaged property, or accident or injury.

Join us outside at the plaza in front of the Convention Center. The festival opens 10:00 a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m. Music performances may run over, so please do not bring your car in until we open the area as instructed by police or security.
