{254} D A N C E F E S T

GUIDELINES:
1.  We are interested in professional and pre-professional work from local and out of state artists.
2.  We challenge artists to experiment with new movement and choreographic ideas.
3.  We are interested in work that interrogates what one thinks, “dance should be.”
4.  We value and encourage collaborations with other forms of art. 
5.  We accept work that is suitable for audiences and children.
6.  We accept previously seen work AND premiere work.
7.  All pieces must be complete and ORIGINAL choreography crafted by the choreographer (and dancers if collaborative)
8.  Works-in-progress may be submitted if the committee is familiar with the artist and willing to meet other specific deadlines.
9. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE PIECE YOU SUBMIT IS THE ONE THAT IS PERFORMED ON STAGE.  IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES IN YOUR DANCE, YOU MUST LET THE DIRECTORS OF 254 KNOW IN ADVANCE. 

GOALS:
1. {254} DANCEFEST seeks to bring exceptional contemporary dance to the Waco region in hopes of inspiring and enlightening the community about the art form.
2. We seek to grow the greater dance community and gather artists, both locally and out of state, to connect a deeper network for the arts. 
3. We strive to make the festival weekend an uplifting and enriching experience for all involved.
